Around half of the world’s population currently lives in cities and urban areas – a figure that is expected to rise substantially in the coming decades. And, as resources become increasingly scarce, the way they are managed in cities will become a major issue for future city governments.

With this in mind LWARB and the GLA would like to invite you to the Circular Cities & Government Conference 2016 on 4 March at City Hall in London. The conference will explore the role of cities in establishing a circular economy, looking at practical examples from the UK’s capital and beyond – including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London, Paris and New York.

Join us to discuss how cities can be at the forefront of the circular economy movement through the promotion of reuse and recycling and to examine the role that local authorities can play in making this a reality.
