Coolrec UK Is a ISO9001 & 14001 fully licensed (No WML7133) WEEE Treatment facility, an Authorised Treatment Facility “AATF” an Approved Exporter “AE” and compliant with ODS 2037/2000

Treatment is carried out in our bespoke fridge treatment plant which is fully in line with Best Available Treatment Recovery & Recycling Techniques “BATRRT” The oil and gasses are initially recovered under vacuum and stored separately, At stage two all other materials are separated at various stages and again recovered and stored separately, Including the foam from the carcass. Coolrec has  a number of similar facilities across Europe including a Plastics Reprocessing plant.

In addition to fridges, the group is capable of receiving and treating all categories of WEEE

On the 1st July 2002, Sims Recycling Solutions opened the UK's first static and Europe's most modern End of Life Fridge Plant at Newport, South Wales. December 2003, after an expansion programme Sims recycling Solutions can boast the largest single site fridge recovery plant in the world, capable of processing 600,000 units a year with dedicated facilities for the processing of oversize commercial fridge units.
